Turkey Turnovers

Bake

Makes 4-5 Dozen


Ingredients:

8 oz cream cheese, softened1

cup unsalted butter, softened

½ tsp salt

2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour

1 small potato, finely chopped

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

½ lb ground turkey

3 Tbs fresh rosemary, finely minced

Freshly ground black pepper to taste

1 egg yolk, beaten with 2 Tbs milk


Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350°.


Combine cream cheese, butter and salt.


Mix in flour to make a soft dough. Chill for four hours.


On a floured board, roll out to 1/8" thickness.


Cut into two inch circles.


Mix together potato, onion, garlic, turkey, rosemary and pepper.


Place 1 tsp turkey on each circle.


Fold in half; seal edges with a fork.


Brush with egg.


Place on an ungreased baking sheet.


Bake for 25 minutes until golden.
