Spicy Shrimp


Serves 8-10


2 lbs medium-sized raw shrimp

3 Tbs extra-virgin olive oil

1 Tbs garlic, finely minced

2 Tbs shallots, finely minced1 small tomato, peeled, seeded and minced

juice of 1 lemon

⅓ cup fresh oregano, chopped

salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

¼ tsp Tabasco sauce


Peel and de-vein shrimp.

Sauté garlic and shallots in oil over low heat for two minutes.

Add shrimp; increase heat to medium. Sauté for three minutes.

Remove from heat. Add remaining ingredients, toss to coat evenly.

Cover and chill for four hours before serving.

Add more Tabasco sauce to taste, if desired.
